Arraka'ar is a fantasy world that has been in development for a very long time, between the player and the player's husband. Summarizing the entire history would take such a tremendous amount of time I would never get to actually play the character, but I will add bits and pieces as time goes on.

Date: 2019-07-01 12:24 pm (UTC)Veth, represented by ground-serpents, is/are considered representative of forces of destruction. E'tha, represented by winged snakes, is/are representative of forces of creation. E'thaveth is a term for cosmic balance and positive homeostasis.
The initial creation story posits a battle between Veth and E'tha which raged so fiercely without a victor that both major deities were broken into pieces: head, heart, and tail.
The head of Veth is Phrakaan, the god of earth, rock, and dust. Phrakaan is depicted as a huge dark serpent with dry scales and the glimmer of magma in his mouth and eyes. He sleeps often. His movements make earthquakes when he is awake, and he experiences constant pain from the activities of elves on the surface of the planet, but he doesn't resent them for this. Rather, he feels that such pain--the pain caused by reshaping the body or the world around it--can be a method of teaching and communication. He is openly loving to living creatures, though his love is problematic and uncomfortable. Though male pronouns are generally used with Phrakaan, he is considered without a fixed gender.
The tail of Veth is Saha'an, the god of the red moon. A consummate warrior, Saha'an is a god of passion, blood, violence, and honor. He is depicted as a muscular elf-like form with the head and throat of a red-scaled snake. Saha'an is universally depicted as masculine, though he welcomes female and nonbinary warrior-devotees.
The heart of Veth is Luath, the god of cold, darkness, and space. Luath is depicted as a small white serpent with black eyes like holes of nothingness, and is in the current common understanding a figure of terror, the end of life and existence. Older existing tests depict Luath as a more ambivalent figure, someone to whom the wounded may go for a final peace.
The head of E'tha is Oloreth, the wind god. Little is known about Oloreth as it seems his cult was destroyed at the beginning of human Occupation, but what depictions of him remain suggest he is known as capricious and attention-hungry but well-meaning.
The tail of E'tha is the twin-deity Oshaan. Oshaan is depicted as two small bipedal beings with serpent heads and smooth wings. They are known for pranks, mischief, cleverness, and keeping knowledge. Frequently, but not always, one is depicted as male and the other as female. The twins prefer one another's company to anyone else's, mortal or immortal, but they will bless those who worship them.
The heart of E'tha is Haleth, the sun goddess. Haleth can be as forceful and damaging as the rays of the sun itself, but she is usually depicted as a powerful Mother figure, live-giving and nurturing. She can be frightening if her dignity is offended, but is known as a loving divinity, a patroness of magic, and the source of all healing powers.
